Today’s weddings are drawing inspiration from locations across the world and this is especially obvious in the higher end wedding market. Impressive villas and estate grounds filled with rich foliage are creating a demand for textured details that rely on organic materials such as stone, tile, torn edge paper, linen, and even various wood tones. (This is a trend we’re noticing heavily in the signage industry and I must say I’m enjoying the shift away from the typical acrylic pieces!) Today I'm introducing you to a gorgeous estate right here in the PNW!
I was recently invited to be a part of a luxury European inspired shoot at Oregon’s own Villa Catalana Cellars. This boutique winery housed in a 12th century inspired stone house was the backdrop and main inspiration for a gorgeous content day put on by Dani Bee Weddings.
Instead of using bright colors, off-whites and greens kept an elevated feel throughout the setup and the invitation suite and menus offered textured edges, vellum place cards and a classic old-world design style to match the occasion.
Antique paper clippings were added to the flatlay for some extra charm and authentic flare.
Cascading florals brought the table settings to life (one of the best ways to elevate any design and bring in a luxury feel!)
The villa provided quite the backdrop for the shoot and this location had many special picture locations for the fabulous photography team. They host real weddings at their property and I'd highly encourage you to check it out for yourself!
